Tyler’s plans to open a 17,274-square-foot store the WestBend development just northwest of the Fort Worth Zoo along University Drive.
The location will mark the sportswear retailer’s seventh store statewide and will open in early 2016, according to Trademark Property Co., developer of the mixed-use WestBend.
“We’re thrilled that Tyler’s has selected WestBend for their Fort Worth location,” said Terry Montesi, Trademark CEO.
“As we near the completion of the redevelopment, it’s exciting to see the high level of current leasing activity confirm our vision for a fresh, walkable, urban mixed-use environment on the Trinity Trail in the best long term retail location in Fort Worth,” said Montesi, planning to announce more retail tenants in the coming weeks.
Tyler’s’ WestBend location will feature merchandise for men, women and youth from Nike, Ray-Ban, Oakley, Converse and other apparel, footwear and eyewear brands.
“We’ve been searching a long time for the perfect Fort Worth location that will help us best serve the community and we finally found it,” said Dale Grimes, Tyler’s president and owner.
The Tyler’s store will join a growing number of WestBend tenants, including Zoë’s Kitchen, East Hampton Sandwich Co. and Silver Fox Steakhouse. In addition, The Fresh Market is set to open this summer, with Grimaldi’s Coal-Brick Oven Pizzeria opening this fall.
Redevelopment efforts already are underway at WestBend, including a new 81,150-square-foot Class A office building, which will include Regus. When completed in fall 2015, WestBend will offer 280,000 square feet of retail, dining and office space.
