FORT WORTH, TX (April 11, 2012) – Trademark Property Co. announced the purchase of two retail centers, Staples Center and Mt.Vernon Center, located directly across from its La Palmera Mall in Corpus Christi, TX. The combined centers to be known as “The Shops at La Palmera,” will undergo a major renovation and total 200,000 sq. ft.
Trademark’s JV partner on the acquisition is Institutional Mall Investors LLC, its partner on LaPalmera.
“Because of the great success of La Palmera, there is increased demand for retail space in Corpus Christi,” said Trademark CEO Terry Montesi. “The renovation of this property will allow us to better accommodate quality users wanting a presence in this market. “
The new design of the property will complement La Palmera, which underwent a $50 million renovation from 2009-2010. Trademark will lease and manage the new center.
