CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (November 3, 2011) – La Palmera continues to attract new tenants, including many seasonal ones, offering something for everyone.

Two new tenants, one of them based in Corpus Christi, are slated to open in November. A local surf and skate staple since 1976, Benjamin’s, is scheduled to open a 3,073-square-foot store located adjacent to Bath and Body Works. Benjamin’s is a Coastal Bend favorite for surf and skate needs as well as fashionable apparel, ranging from casual beachwear to cool global fashion.

Build-A-Bear Workshop is also moving in with an opening scheduled in November. The 1,776-square-foot workshop will be located on the upper level near the Undersea Adventure children’s play area. Founded in 1997, the company operates more than 400 Build-A-Bear Workshops worldwide and remains the only interactive make-your-own stuffed animal retail-entertainment experience.

Two other tenants recently opened at La Palmera. All the Perks Espresso Café opened its kiosk café in September, located near the feature aquarium in the La Palmera Cafés food court, and Baker’s, one of the leading specialty retailers of fashion-forward footwear and accessories for young women, opened August 27 in a 1,505-square-foot space on the main level. With 230 stores nationwide, the La Palmera Baker’s location is the company’s first in Corpus Christi.

Several seasonal favorites will also be at La Palmera in time for holiday shopping. Hickory Farms, See’s Candies, Calendar Club, Brookstone, and H-E-B Toyland will be moving in temporarily for the holiday shopping season.

“La Palmera continues to bring new tenants to the Coastal Bend and provide ever-expanding shopping opportunities, both permanent and seasonal, for our customers,” said La Palmera General Manager Fred Walters.
