Directly on the heels of The Gorgeous Gael shuttering its Rice Village outpost this weekend due to “unforeseen circumstances,” the developer of the property has announced yet another new eatery slated for the revamped shopping center.
A DC spot for healthy bowls and salads Sweetgreen will be joining the development, according to the Houston Business Journal. The chain operates locations on both the East and West Coasts and will bring to Texas a menu of salads, warm bowls, and seasonal dishes packed with veggies and fruits. Standout items include the curry chickpea bowl with roasted chicken, toasted almonds, quinoa, organic baby spinach, topped with a curry yogurt dressing, and a crab and watermelon dish with raw corn, shredded cabbage, and chopped romaine, which can be found on the seasonal DC menu. Fingers crossed it makes the move to Houston.
