Dallas-based designer brings couture bridal and evening wear collections to Victory Park
DALLAS (June 2, 2016) – Victory Park today announced that Dallas-based couture designer, Nardos Imam, has opened Nardos Design boutique on Victory Park Lane. The boutique features Imam’s custom couture bridal and evening wear collections as well as her cocktail collection featuring both custom and collection items.
“We are focused on curating a creative mix of tenants at Victory Park that highlight our commitment to cultivating a local and artisan vibe,” said Terry Montesi, CEO, Trademark Property Co., Victory Park’s retail partner. “Nardos’ commitment to Victory Park comes on the heels of the announcement that Tristan Simon will open three concepts at Victory. The endorsement of two local entrepreneurs of their caliber speaks volumes to the reinvigoration of Victory.
“I am so excited to be part of Victory Park. It is a growing area that is becoming a landmark,” said Imam. “The move to Victory Park has become an endless source of inspiration for my creations.”
Last month, Victory Park announced that Dallas entrepreneur Tristan Simon’s company, Rebees, will open three new concepts in 2017 including a restaurant, a retail emporium focused on locally made goods, and a co-working office space that will include a café. In addition, Cinépolis USA will join Victory Park in 2017.
Victory Park currently features more than 160,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space, including Freshii, which recently opened at the property. Other tenants include: Buda Juice, BuzzBrews Kitchen, Café Victoria, Lost Hairdressers, Classic Pilates, Cook Hall, Hard Rock Café, The Hangar, Havana Social Club, House of Blues, Jimmy John’s, Joanna Czech, Kenichi, Medina Oven & Bar, Metro Tickets, Naga Thai Kitchen & Bar, Olivella’s Neo Pizza Napoletana, Read Between the Lines, Shooters, Simply Elegant – Dallas, Victory Park CrossFit, Victory Tavern and V.O.D.
In addition to leasing activity, development initiatives also are underway. Construction has started on the multi-level, mixed-use building at Victory Park Lane and High Market Street, which will include the eight-screen, 750-seat movie theatre operated by Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas-Victory Park, a for-rent residential component consisting of 285 units, and 20,000 square feet of ground floor retail. In addition, construction is underway on the unfinished parking garage across from the W Dallas – Victory Hotel to add 22,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and a dramatic, 2,600-square-foot, second-floor covered patio connected to a signature restaurant at the northeast corner of the garage.
As part of phase I redevelopment efforts, which began in 2014, Victory Park added a new signalized intersection, traffic light and crosswalk at Olive Street and Victory Park Lane; and, on Victory Park Lane, removed raised medians and street lights, widened sidewalks to accommodate large outdoor patios, installed new trees, added raised mid-block crosswalks, installed placemaking elements such as new directories, planters, benches, light poles and banners, implemented two way traffic on Houston Street and Victory Avenue, and extended the Katy Trail, with dedicated bike lanes on Houston Street. Phase I will continue through fall 2016 with the installation of new district IDs, directional signage, seating, landscaping and public art.
