Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Company is doubling down on its mixed-use development efforts by adding multifamily capabilities. To lead this new sector, Trademark has hired local industry veteran Chad Colley, former director of development for Criterion Development Partners.
Colley will use his decade of multifamily and real estate experience to help launch Trademark’s multifamily platform, a natural transition for a company with a successful mixed-use development history. In his new role, Colley will lead ground-up mixed-use development efforts while leveraging Trademark’s team to focus on deal sourcing, site planning, underwriting, construction, and other related activities. Trademark will focus its mixed-use efforts on new investments and developments in strategic high-growth markets primarily in the sunbelt.
Prior to Trademark, Colley served as director of development for Criterion Development Partners, where he was responsible for the acquisition and development of multifamily and mixed-use properties in southern markets. Colley previously worked for Kimley-Horn & Associates where he established a land development consulting practice in Fort Worth, working on notable projects, such as the Dallas Cowboys headquarters “The Star”, Toyota USA headquarters, and the Fort Worth Stockyards.
