HOUSTON – Trademark Property Company (Trademark) today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire 37 acres in Dunham Pointe, a 1,300-acre master planned community in the fast-growing Houston suburb of Cypress, Texas. Trademark will develop the site as a highly amenitized mixed-use town center for the Cypress area and Dunham Pointe residents.
“Dunham Pointe is a high-end residential and commercial community that will feature homes constructed by Houston’s top home builders, a Cypress Fairbanks School District campus and a diverse range of amenities,” said Cary Dunham, Executive Vice President of Dunham Pointe Development. “We are extremely pleased that Trademark, one of the nation’s leading mixed-use developers, has chosen the site for its new project.”
The retail and mixed-use development will encompass approximately 225,000 square feet of retail space and 500 multifamily residences, along with the potential to incorporate office uses and hotel facilities. Trademark will collaborate with the developers of the master planned project – along with residential builders — to create a highly connected and walkable community that delivers an elevated lifestyle for residents.
The project is ideally located in the heart of Cypress at the intersection of Highway 290 and Mason Road.
“We will apply our more than 30 years of experience in mixed-use development and placemaking to create a central gathering place for this special community,” said Jeff Johnson, Managing Director of Development for Trademark. “The population growth and affluence in Cypress, combined with the picturesque landscape and prime location of Dunham Pointe, make this an excellent opportunity for a mixed-use project. With every new market, we come as listeners first, and we look forward to engaging with the Cypress community to learn about the kinds of experiences they’d like to see here.”
