BURGER FANS REJOICE – SHAKE SHACK HEADED TO RICE VILLAGE
HOUSTON, TX (March 17, 2016) – Shake Shack, one of the nation’s hottest names in the burger business, is coming to Rice Village, a major step in the repositioning of the popular outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
With an opening targeted for late 2017, don’t be surprised to see Shake Shack fans staking out their place in line to be among the first to dive into the all-natural Angus beef burgers, griddled-crisp flat-top hot dogs, crinkle-cut Yukon fries, frozen custard and hand-spun shakes and malts.
Shake Shack will take over space in Rice Village currently occupied by La Madeleine at the corner of Kirby Drive and Amherst St.
“For Rice Village, the addition of Shake Shack is a real game changer,” says Rice Village General Manager Donna Molho. “It’s a big part of our goal to create a fresh, vibrant experience for our shoppers.”
Shake Shack has gained national acclaim for the delicious taste of its all-natural Angus beef burgers, vegetarian fed, humanely raised and source verified, 100% all-natural cage-free chicken and flat-top dogs with all-natural Vienna beef.
Hand-spun shakes, malts and frozen custard round out the Shake Shack experience, unless of course diners opt for the ShackMeister Ale or wine by the glass made exclusively for Shake Shack by Napa Valley’s Frog’s Leap.
On their way out, diners can even pick up a bag of ShackBurger dog biscuits for their four-legged friends.
Details for an official opening date should be announced in early 2017.
The announcement of Shake Shack comes as Trademark Property Co. continues its multimillion-dollar renovation and rebranding of Rice Village to create a new urban vibe and feel. Façade enhancements are underway with new outdoor seating, public art and updated landscaping coming soon. Improved parking, sidewalks and common areas also are planned.
