First Street Napa announced that a Mecox retail store will open at the complex, at 1214 First St. The new store will be adjacent to State & First by Maris Collective and below Archer Hotel Napa. It should open in April.
Offering a range of products suited to indoor and outdoor living environments, the 2,500-square-foot emporium will feature “a broad selection of home and garden furnishings, barware and glassware, one-of-a-kind antiques, and unique tabletop and bar accessories,” said a news release.
“Mecox is a well-known and celebrated brand with retail stores in major cities throughout the country,” said Todd Zapolski, principal of Zapolski Real Estate, LLC, the co-owner and developer behind First Street Napa.
“We’re confident the style and aesthetic will resonate well with Napa Valley residents seeking unique home products.”
Inspired by the “classic aesthetic of California wine country,” the Mecox Napa location will carry an assortment of lifestyle products including The Mecox Collection, a line of furniture encompassing rope, rattan, parchment, and faux shagreen (sharkskin) goods, along with a curated selection of contemporary and antique Asian furniture, mid-century-style seating, and French provincial-style case goods.
All goods in-store can be taken home the same day and thousands of items will be available for special order and custom design, said the release.
Mecox opened its flagship emporium in the village of Southampton, New York in the spring of 1996 and expanded to other locations nationwide in Manhattan, West Palm Beach, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and Pittsburgh.
“Mecox’s casual elegance, livable luxury and quality products will complement First Street Napa’s prominent tenants,” said Mac Hoak, owner and founder of Mecox.
“We are looking forward to being part of such an iconic region and a flourishing area within downtown Napa.”
