Sadly, Fort Worth’s Bartaco closed last year along the Trinity River. Now we know what is filling that prime restaurant space in WestBend, smack dab in the middle of HG SPLY CO. and Ascension Coffee with a dramatic patio view of the Fort Worth Zoo.

Trademark Property Company reveals that a new Quince restaurant is opening in the spot early next year.

The first location of Quince is in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. It was declared the No. 1 Rooftop Restaurant in the World for the past two years, and previously the No. 1 Rooftop Destination in the World by Robb Report magazine.

“We are thrilled with our leasing momentum at WestBend,” Trademark CEO Terry Montesi says. “With our best in Fort Worth location and the most relevant merchandising, WestBend has become Fort Worth’s go-to project for the latest and greatest retailers and restaurants, such as Quince. With more coming soon.”

The Fort Worth Quince is being previewed as a chic but casual atmosphere, with impeccable views by the restaurant’s creator and lead partner Brian Sneed. “(Quince was) created for all ages in search of an upbeat experience with their meal,” Sneed says. “Eye-catching views complementing unexpected entertainment with hip, but familiar music will be brought to WestBend.”

Sneed is a graduate of TCU and he’s seen plenty of changes in the city where he went to college.
