For more than a decade, Jasper’s has served gourmet backyard cuisine to The Woodlands community from their dining room in the heart of Market Street – The Woodlands. General Manager Frank Santos shares with us Jasper’s secret to keeping customers coming back for more and how the community plays a role in menu development.
What is Jasper’s philosophy when it comes to dining?
Jasper’s offers casual upscale dining. You can be comfortable dressing up for a special occasion or wearing shorts for a lower key meal.
What is your secret to staying power in the ever-changing restaurant industry?
To be competitive you always have to enhance your menus and offerings. We listen and are responsive to our guests. You can’t be afraid to try something new.
What is your favorite menu item?
Anything beef is wonderful here, as well as Jasper’s rack of lamb!
How have you seen Market Street – The Woodlands evolve in the time that you have been there?
Market Street is now a destination and an event in itself. You can spend time at the movies, enjoy a happy hour, and have dinner, all within walking distance. AND with the hotel you can also make a weekend out of it. I think Market Street is really unique with something always going on.
How do you tailor your restaurant to the community?
Jasper’s offers a scratch menu, adding daily features to the menu that we allow the chefs to create on their own. Our menu is very fluid, and because of that, we have guests returning to find out what is new.
