Groundbreaking set for remainder of Phase II with pre-leasing to begin on “Main Street” expansion

FORT WORTH, Texas (May 31, 2013) – Trademark Property Company, the Fort Worth-based retail and mixed-use development, investment and services firm, today announced the grand opening of Dick’s Sporting Goods at Alliance Town Center in North Fort Worth, as well as plans for an additional 237,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space for the popular center.
One of the largest sports and fitness specialty retailers in the U.S., Dick’s is now open with grand opening activities scheduled Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2. The 50,000-square-foot store will serve as an anchor for Phase II of the popular Alliance Town Center. Dick’s currently operates more than 480 stores in 44 states.
“We are ecstatic with the momentum and sales performance at Alliance Town Center, and Dick’s Sporting Goods adds another best in class anchor to the project,” said Trademark CEO Terry Montesi. “With Dick’s opening, we are well positioned to complete the current phase and proceed with our ‘Main Street’ lifestyle expansion, which garnered tremendous interest at the recent International Council of Shopping Centers global real estate convention. Alliance Town Center has become the outdoor regional mall and more for the powerful North Fort Worth trade area.”
Construction is underway on Razzoo’s Cajun Café, Pie Five and Cold Stone Creamery with announcements regarding other national retailers coming soon.
Groundbreaking on the balance of Phase II, adding approximately 87,500 square feet to the project has now been set for this fall with completion expected in spring 2014. Trademark has also begun pre-leasing on a “Main Street” lifestyle expansion, which is scheduled to open late 2014–early 2015 featuring an estimated 150,000 square feet of specialty retail and restaurants. Once completed, Alliance Town Center will be home to 1.3 million square feet of retail, restaurants and entertainment.
A joint venture of Hillwood and Trademark, Alliance Town Center is located on I-35W at Heritage Trace Parkway in North Fort Worth, part of the 17,000-acre Alliance, Texas, master-planned community, which is currently home to over 33,000 jobs.
Other retailers open include Belk, JCPenney, Best Buy, Cinemark Theaters, Sam Moon, Rooms To Go, The Children’s Place, Jos. A. Bank, Kroger Marketplace, PetSmart and Ulta. Dining options include BJ’s, Olive Garden, Houlihan’s, Chick-fil-A, Cheddar’s, Which Wich, Zoes Kitchen, Jason’s Deli and Mi Cocina.
