VP of Specialty Leasing – Dallas/Fort Worth, TX

Overview

The Vice President of Specialty Leasing is responsible for driving revenue through the successful execution of short-term leases, advertising, sponsorship, partnership marketing deals, and similar transactions. This individual will lead and manage both internal teams and external stakeholders to execute specialty leasing and auxiliary revenue strategies for the company’s retail portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a sophisticated and polished approach, excellent communication skills, a larger established network of industry relationships, and a proven ability to lead teams and deliver results in a dynamic retail real estate environment.

Requirements
  • Deal Execution:
    • Directly execute short-term leases, advertising, sponsorship, partnership marketing agreements, and similar transactions to maximize revenue.
    • Develop and negotiate agreements that align with company objectives and deliver value to clients and partners.
    • Ensure all agreements are accurately documented and comply with company policies and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage internal teams responsible for specialty leasing and auxiliary revenue goals.
    • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including brokers, brands, and third-party vendors, to ensure seamless deal execution.
    • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the specialty leasing team.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract and retain specialty leasing tenants and partners.
    • Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for new revenue streams, ensuring competitive positioning.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and legal, to support deal execution.
  • Professional Representation:
    • Serve as the face of the specialty leasing function, presenting a polished, professional, and sophisticated image to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
    • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and external clients, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities within the Trademark portfolio.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience successfully executing specialty leasing and auxiliary revenue deals, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Demonstrated success in closing advertising, sponsorship, and partnership marketing deals.
  • Robust, active network of current industry relationships.
  • Exceptional people leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sophisticated and professional demeanor, with excellent presentation skills and the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership and clients.
