Special Projects Manager – Galleria Dallas | Dallas, TX

Overview

The Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center is seeking a dependable, hands-on Special Projects Manager to support daily operations and oversee critical maintenance responsibilities. This role plays an integral part in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the ice rink facility. While prior ice-skating experience is not required, a willingness to learn and a strong sense of responsibility are essential. Training will be provided.

Requirements
  • Oversee and perform ice maintenance, including resurfacing the ice using the Zamboni and operating the edger
  • Change and maintain blades for ice maintenance equipment as needed
  • Perform skate sharpening and general skate repairs
  • Ensure upkeep and cleanliness of rental skate inventory
  • Assist the Operations Manager and Skating Center General Manager with various special projects
  • Contribute to the general day-to-day maintenance and facility readiness
  • Act as manager on duty during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operations, team coordination and maintains orderly flow of closeout paperwork procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned by Skating Center General Manager
Qualifications
  • No ice skating experience required – training will be provided
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and machines preferred
  • Previous facility or equipment maintenance experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
