Job Posting

Senior Vice President of Investments and Institutional Services | Fort Worth, TX

Overview

Trademark Property Company is seeking a market-facing executive to serve on our Senior Leadership Team. As an equity participant, you will be charged with the strategic expansion of our Investments and Institutional Services platforms.

This is a high-visibility role designed for a leader who can navigate the intersection of research, complex retail/mixed-use assets, and capital markets. As capital flows back into retail real estate, Trademark wants to be optimally positioned to take advantage of extraordinarily positive supply/demand fundamentals and expand our portfolio and AUM accordingly. This is a vitally important position to the company and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the successful candidate.

You will lead our Acquisitions platform which identifies, sources, capitalizes, and closes high-profile retail investment opportunities across the United States. You will also be encouraged to source Institutional Services engagements with strategic properties where an acquisition or investment opportunity is not available but Trademark can still add significant value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquisitions: Execute a comprehensive targeted acquisitions strategy. You will identify strategic retail and mixed-use assets likely to trade. You will pursue these properties in collaboration with the Trademark team through new and existing relationships with owners and key influencers/brokers. You will identify and pitch opportunities to compatible capital partners, negotiate purchase and joint venture agreements, and manage the due diligence process to ensure successful closings. You will collaborate with our internal vertical leaders (Research, Leasing, Asset and Property Management, Retail Development, Multifamily Development, Finance) to synthesize complex data into compelling investment theses and business plans.
  • Institutional Services: For strategic assets identified in the asset selection process where an acquisition is not available, you will be incentivized to secure and convert institutional owners into long-term partners and clients for asset and property management, leasing, and development services. You will pursue these fee and incentive management opportunities in collaboration with other Trademark verticals.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as a key face of the firm to institutional property investors, owners, and capital partners, representing the platform with credibility and market expertise. Lead the development and management of relationships with many of the most prominent investors in U.S. real estate, positioning Trademark as the preferred partner for retail and mixed-use investments. Leverage existing firm relationships while proactively cultivating new partnerships and expanding the network as a core driver of growth. Demonstrate strong relationship-building and origination skills, with a focus on creating long-term, trust-based partnerships that generate repeat business and new investment opportunities.
  • Reporting, Staffing & Collaboration: You will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer, a member of the Executive Committee. You will work closely with a lean team that currently includes dedicated analyst support, with responsibility for mentorship, development, and oversight. You will also collaborate with Trademark’s broader platform, leveraging cross-functional resources that support the growth of the firm’s retail acquisitions and institutional services business.
