We are looking for a corporate accountant to join our team!

Job Summary:

The corporate accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to support the organization’s decision-making processes. This role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements for the corporate entities.

· Full cycle accounting for corporate books – maintain general ledger, accounts payable, reconcile and manage accounts receivable collections, monitor bank accounts, including monthly reconciliations and closing journal entries.

· Full cycle accounting for development/pre-development properties, including job cost functionality.

· Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.

· Assists with filing required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.

· Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

· Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. Job Cost knowledge a plus.

· Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

· Highly proficient with accounting software.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Development property accounting a plus.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required.

· Three to five years of accounting experience required.
