Building Maintenance Engineer | North Point Mall – Alpharetta, GA

Overview

The Building Maintenance Engineer, reporting to the Operations Manager, is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on the mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems of the shopping center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Routinely inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, fans, and air handling units (AHUs), and clean cooling towers.
  • Testing & Inspection: Conduct monthly fire pump and generator testing. Regularly inspect facility systems, replace filters, and grease components as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain logs to document maintenance activities and ensure proper inventory of supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Property Upkeep: Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including painting, drywall, and basic carpentry.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all applicable standards and regulatory guidelines, including OSHA, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Team Support: Assist other departments, such as Marketing with event setup, and work collaboratively to ensure the smooth operation of the property.
