HOUSTON, TX (November 16, 2015) –Rice Village’s inaugural “Pour & Explore” charity shopping event Tuesday, December 1 from 4 – 9 p.m. will offer guests discounts and the chance to exlore what’s new in-store at their favorite Rice Village retailers along with light bites and wine flights. All event donations benefit the nearby Children’s Assessment Center.
“On behalf of our children, we are grateful for the opportunity to kick off the holiday season with Pour and Explore in Rice Village,” said Executive Director of The Children’s Assessment Center. “In celebrating the joy and excitement of the season, we wish everyone happy holidays and a sincere thank you for supporting our children during this magical time of the year.”
Donations for admission are $25 each and can be given on-site at the event or in advance at Nice Winery – 2901 West Sam Houston Parkway North (www.nicewines.com) or through The Children’s Assessment Center website at http://cachouston.org. Admission includes complimentary valet, located at the valet stand near Ann Taylor and Le Creuset on Kelvin Drive.
All attending guests will receive a gift bag with retailer offers, product samples and a take-home commemorative wine glass. Plus, pop artist Jon Garner will showcase his original works of pop art on reclaimed Texas wood.
Guests can window shop or browse among the shopping destination’s fashion boutiques and enjoy lite bites while they browse courtesy of D’Amico’s, Baker Street Pub, Miss Saigon, 55 Bar, El Meson, Mi Luna and Starbucks. Local wine maker and Rice University alumnus Ryan Levy of Nice Winery will provide wine samples. All samples were named as either gold or silver winners at the 2015 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo International Wine Competition.
