Phase one renovations to focus on public space improvements and signage updates

CEDAR HILL, Texas (August 31, 2015) – Trademark Property Co., the operating partner for Hillside Village, formerly Uptown Village at Cedar Hill, has broken ground on its multi-million dollar renovation of the shopping center.

As part of the first phase, Trademark will update the signs at property entrances to reflect the new name and brand, build a new children’s play area, extend the Village Green to include a new promenade section with a bocce ball court, install a covered stage area, and add shaded seating around the Village Green. In addition, the renovation includes enhanced landscaping and lighting throughout the property, as well as a new public art program.

“Evolving Hillside Village will improve our shoppers’ experience, and attract new shoppers and tenants,” said Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark. “We’ve carefully planned this renovation to be responsive to the community’s feedback, and we can’t wait for them to experience the finished product. Combined with the recent opening of Charlotte Russe, and H&M in the coming weeks, this fall is going to be an exciting time to visit Hillside Village.”

Trademark conducted an onsite design charrette last fall with numerous architects, place makers, the City of Cedar Hill and the onsite management team to collaborate and formulate a strategic plan and direction for the property. Trademark plans to evolve the property and give the community a best-in-class shop, dine, work and play experience. Phase one completion is scheduled for fall 2015.

To learn more about the improvements, please visit Hillside Village’s website or follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates and events at the shopping center.

The center features a collection of more than 65 national and local tenants including Charlotte Russe, Charming Charlie, Buckle, H&M (opening fall 2015), Express, James Avery, Old Navy, Papaya, The Children’s Place and Victoria’s Secret.
