FORT WORTH, TX (Nov. X, 2024) – Trademark Property Company (Trademark), a mixed-use investor, developer, and operator, is welcoming three apparel and accessories brands at WestBend, a premier mixed-use community located in Fort Worth’s University District. The retailers, y&i clothing boutique, INDOCHINO, and Mod + Jo, thoughtfully complement WestBend’s existing offerings, and bring the property’s retail component to 100% leased.
WestBend features over 160,000 square feet of retail spanning clothing, accessories, beauty, home décor, and restaurants. Featuring a curated mix of local and national brands, the property is located on the Trinity River and Trinity River Trail in the heart of the University District. It is also home to Trademark’s headquarters.
In 2016, the property underwent a major redevelopment adding retail, restaurants, and an 81,150-square-foot building that includes 57,000 square feet of new Class A office space. WestBend comes as part of Trademark’s Conscious Place initiative, a stakeholder-driven development model that aims to ensure its properties are more than just places of commerce, but also places of community and meaning. For instance, Trademark implemented a vibrant public art program at WestBend featuring distinctive works throughout the property by local artists such as Laura Kimpton’s Love sculpture and the Amon Carter photography collection.
“WestBend continues to be a dominant destination for shopping and dining in Fort Worth’s fast-growing University District,” said Daniel Goldware, Senior VP – Leasing at Trademark. “These tenant additions further enhance our offerings across the property, and we look forward to continuing to cultivate a place where one-of-a-kind brands can thrive.”
y&i clothing boutique brings a unique blend of casual, yet chic quality clothing at affordable prices. Their curated selection includes brands like Show Me Your Mumu, AGOLDE, Amanda Uprichard, Billabong, and Z Supply, along with local brands like Nikki Smith Designs and Tart by Taylor. Alongside trendy apparel, y&i also offers a selection of gifts such as candles, jewelry, coasters, clear purses, and unique items ideal for birthdays, bridesmaids, engagement presents, and more. Starting as a small shop in San Francisco, the brand has grown to include stores in Dallas, Plano, and Austin. Fort Worth was a long-sought after location for y&i because of its evolving metropolitan vibe and the influx of young adults moving to the vibrant city. The store is now open at WestBend.
INDOCHINO offers custom suits, shirts, and formal wear that embody style and quality. As a leader in made-to-measure men’s and womenswear, INDOCHINO brings the art of tailoring to everyone with affordability and impeccable service. Alongside its newest location at WestBend, which opened this fall, INDOCHINO has 92 showrooms across the United States and Canada.
Mod + Jo is a small-batch jewelry brand offering a mix of vintage-inspired and modern accessory designs. The store features both attainable and fine jewelry pieces that are made in-house along with a variety of complementary brands. A digitally native brand, this will be the company’s second brick-and-mortar location as it looks to offer customers an opportunity to experience the quality of their jewelry in-person. As one of the only stores in Fort Worth to offer 14k gold permanent jewelry, customers can expect in-store activations such as piercing events, exclusive collections, and more. Mod + Jo is set to open to the community in the first quarter of 2025.
Looking to the future, Trademark plans to launch WestBend’s second phase with a seven-story, 300-unit multifamily community with 4,500 square feet of commercial space. The plan also features an enhanced trailhead and public amenities, such as a bike repair station, public art, and outdoor gathering space.
