WestBend is getting two clothing stores that are both new to Fort Worth.
The first is a pop-up shop, Texas Standard, expected to open May 10 at 1653 River Run between Drybar and BONOBOS. The 787-square-foot shop will carry men’s clothing designed and developed in Texas, including sports shirts, polos, T-shirts and accessories. Ten percent of the profits go toward Texas-focused charities.
The pop-up shop is part of WestBend developer Trademark Property Co.’s new Pop Up program, which gives emerging and e-commerce brands opportunities to open a brick-and-mortar while building their brand and generating revenue.
Also opening at WestBend is Marine Layer, an apparel brand for men, women and children. The 1,550-square-foot store will carry what Men’s Journal dubbed “the softest shirts around,” with T-shirts, outerwear, swimwear and more. Marine Layer uses more than 100 custom fabrics made with a signature fiber called MicroModal, made from recycled beechwood.
The shop is expected to open in June at 1701 River Run, neighboring makeup and skincare store Bluemercury.
